School, sh#t and projects

Wed Jan 27, 2010, 9:51 PM
Well, today marked the end of my third week of classes. I've been stressing cuz I've been having trouble specifically in my Java class. Since it's merely a learning class and not a practicality class, we use the C: prompt to run programs. And just today I was able to find a way to be able to effectively use Java, since before I was getting improper paths and unknown sources. So that was a monkey off my back.

Game Development II involves creating Unreal Tournament levels. Nothin' special, just has to fit the requirements.

Discrete Mathematics is... well... math. No sweat.

Now, I had to take C as an online course because the class course got nixed for low number of students. And it seems to be running smooth enough...

But I don't necessarily enjoy being at school for 15 hours.
I drive someone who has class at 8, so I have to wake up at 5:30, and I get to school by about 7:30. First class, GDII, is at 9, til 10:40, and then depending on either being Monday or Wednesday, I have Math at 6:15 to 10, or Java at 6:25 to 10.

So, the sh#t portion of this journal, most of you should be aware that I have internet back on condition that I job hunt one place every weekday minus holidays.... well, I'm exhausting everywhere around me. And guess what, they're not hiring. Who would have imagined.

My knees are falling into further ruin, seeing as braces or no braces, the way I walk is further hurting them, and the poor condition of my knees forces me to walk that way, so that's an unending cycle. Now, I'd get the physical therapy, but my insurance is reimbursement. Which means I need the money first.
And I don't have money.
So all health improvement opportunities have ceased until I can get money.

I love being in debt.

And for the stuff I'd like to work on in the near future...
1) Get a new scanner/printer. The Lexmark sucks. bad. It won't print and it struggles to scan. And my hard drive crash didn't help anything.
2) Continue with the 100 theme challenge. It's taking a bit longer than I'd hoped, but I can't just rush things, I guess.... but I am over half done. I have some rather spectacular pieces in it.
3) Some of you may have seen my "Legend of Dragoon" fanfic. Well, I want to revise and reformat what I have, and continue to work on it. Now while I have 35 chapters presented online, I believe I had another 4 or 5 in the works before the crash, and I lost my character map in it... so I want to make sure I can keep a plot-summary file on a flash with the character map just so I don't lose quality plot that is rather difficult to recreate.

But yeah, I want to make it a better, more enjoyable read, a magnificent ride for the imagination, even to those unfamiliar with the game.

And now for something completely different.

Sorry about how I've been recently... I've been a regular Marvin, and I've been downright rude a lot of the time. It's totally not cool and I'd like to express my apologies.

Thanks for trying to buck me up and all.

Never held it against you.
